Yes we would want this packaged up for at least Fedora to move forward.
Sure, it makes sense. Let me close a couple of items, then I'll look
for somebody interested in packaging it (offers/ideas warmly welcome).
By the way, Martin (in Cc:) already prepared a draft spec file for
OpenSUSE a while ago:

...as you can see it's rather trivial. "BuildRequires: audit" can be
dropped now, and there are already build tests for Debian (jessie to
sid), Fedora (26 to 35), OpenSUSE (15.1 to tumbleweed) and Ubuntu
(14.04 to 22.04) in the CI, mixing in a few archs.
