Isn't there a simple way to send a ICAL? callendar link to allow
people
to easily add the meetings to their calendar?
There's a simple way to send an .ical file, sure. This is even a human
readable format. You can write or script your own. But if a user adds an
.ical to their calendar it won't get any changes from the creator, e.g. a
new zoom link, a modified agenda, or a move to another slot. Maybe it's
possible to write such an option, or API link into an .ical event, but
Google at least doesn't do it by default it seems.
I would love a single event link for sure, but I haven't seen such an
option yet. The closest options I know:
- Invite to organizer-local calendar event as Tom does it, but might not
scale
- extra calendar, as I currently experiment with, but haven't found
anybody who wants to try it with me so far
- external service provider like Meetup or Eventbrite, but these might
require funding and are walled gardens for the orga teams

I Love it. Also, I created a calendar for it that is sharable with both
Podman meetings. In the bottom right of the calendar people can add it to
their gcal (and probably others).
I can probably also add other admins or help recreating it on an RH
account if desired.
