I couldn't get it to work from my dev site either, which I believe is the same problem: https://libpod.readthedocs.io/en/latest/search.html Brent pointed me toward CORS and I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Thanks Scott,
I've played a bit, and it's making a little more sense to my noggin. If you use the full link that you sent earlier:
https://podman.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html
and the click on the "Reference" link, then things go nuts.
However, if you use either https://podman.readthedocs.io or https://docs.podman.io then things work just fine when you hit the "Reference" link.
I'm not able to quickly find anything to toggle to make the first link work as expected, other than to not hand out that as a link.

Tom, It has to do with CORS and browsers https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS

OK,
I'm a bit mystified. docs.podman.io is just a dns alias to podman.readthedocs.io. If things broke the other way around I might understand that, but this is just a little loopy in my book, or perhaps my brain has been bit by visions of a 3 day weekend and it's shutting down....
An alias just for the docs is doable, but I'd like to see the traffic go up a bit more for docs before considering that. Otherwise I fear we'll have people sending mail to the wrong list frequently.

I think you're on the wrong site again :-) It's a relative link. Sadly, I don't control the RTD site, so somebody else will need to remove that DNS name (if it's even possible). The correct site is docs.podman.io. whoops, quite so, i totally missed that. my bad.
