I tried adding the mentioned value to the PATH in ~/.bash_profile and logging out and logging in, but it does not work. I always get the same error. Looks like I can directly run "/home/mehdi/.local/share/containers/podman-desktop/extensions-storage/compose/bin/compose up" to start a compose project, which is interesting. Did you check that the PATH was set properly? And the binary could be found? .bash_profile might not be the right place to set the PATH (depending on the circumstances). Try .profile or .bashrc or similar to see if you can add to the PATH there.
Also, is there another executable called compose that might be found before the one from podman-desktop?
