Hi gays.
I've recently updated rpm packages on my c10 and there were,
amongst many more, these:
crun-1.28-1.el10.x86_64 Wed 01 Jul 2026
08:24:45 CEST
containers-common-6.0-2.el10.noarch Wed 08 Jul 2026
09:58:33 CEST
containers-common-extra-6.0-2.el10.noarch Wed 08 Jul 2026
09:58:33 CEST
systemd-container-257-28.el10.x86_64 Wed 08 Jul 2026
09:58:35 CEST
podman-6.0.0-1.el10.x86_64
I mention it for I cannot think of any other reason why on all my
systems, (suddenly) rootless users (via IPA backend) now when I
do:
-> $ ssh appownia@localhost
Last login: Thu Jul 9 19:07:24 2026 from ::1
WARN[0000] RunRoot is pointing to a path (/run/containers/storage)
which is not writable. Most likely podman will fail.: permission
denied
Error: cannot evaluate symlinks on DB run root path
"/run/containers/storage": lstat /run/containers/storage:
permission denied
Nothing of _podman_ toolbox cmd seems to work, eg.:
-> $ podman system reset -f
fails
Anybody sees
this/similar issue, even if not on Centos?
many thanks, L.
